HeySunbird Has Landed: A New Kind of Partner for Online Learning.

After spending years in online learning, you start to notice patterns. Not the obvious ones everyone talks about, but the quieter signals. The programs that succeed rarely do so because of a single big idea. They succeed because someone, somewhere, paid close attention to the details that others rushed past.

That has been the through-line of my work. Whether building partnerships, shaping programs, or navigating the realities of scale, I have always been drawn to the space between strategy and execution. It is where most of the real work lives, and where most of the value gets lost if no one is paying attention.
Over the past six years at Noodle, I have had a front-row seat to what it takes to grow and sustain online learning initiatives across institutions, markets, and teams. I have seen what works, what looks good on paper but fails in practice, and what quietly drives long-term success.
That chapter comes to an end on 15 May.
And yes, there’s always that moment. The one where you close a significant chapter and ask yourself whether you’re about to do something bold or mildly unhinged. The answer, in this case, is likely both.
From 18 May, I will be launching HeySunbird, a focused consulting practice designed to support organisations in the online learning space with strategy, partnerships, and execution that holds up under pressure. This is not a solo act behind a laptop. I am working with a small, trusted, behind-the-scenes freelance consulting team, people who know how to get things done without unnecessary noise.
The decision to do this now is deliberate. The market is crowded with ideas, frameworks, and big promises. What is often missing is steady, experienced guidance that connects the dots and keeps momentum moving when things get complex.
That is where we will spend our time.
We will be taking on a limited number of retainer clients. That is by design. Good work requires focus, and the kind of partnership I value is not built at scale.
If you are navigating growth, rethinking your portfolio, trying to make partnerships work harder, or simply feeling the strain between ambition and delivery, there is space here for a different kind of conversation.
If you are in the online learning space and you want a partner who understands both the boardroom conversation and the operational reality, reach out. Let’s talk about what you are building, what is getting in the way, and where we can help.
Because the work is not getting easier. But it can get clearer, and that is often where progress begins. Let’s grab a virtual coffee.
